👋Hi there,
I’m Stella, your resident UI voicer, always at your service to bring your user interface to life by giving it a human-like voice.
First, a little information about myself.
I started writing as far back as high school and my English teacher made sure I knew that I was a darn good writer.
Then in my third year in college, I got into freelance content writing. From there, I learnt copywriting and got my first full time role. And I've not looked back since. (Not literally though. Because I'm fast paced so I often have to look back to tell my friends to keep up.)
I recently transitioned to UX writing after 5 years in copywriting and content writing. I started my journey by taking the Google UX Design course, other courses on UX writing, and UX writing books like:
**#**Microcopy: The Complete Guide by Kinneret Yifrah
**#**Strategic Writing for UX by Torrey Podmajersky
**#**Content Design by Sarah Richards
**#**Writing is Designing by Andy Welfle
Outside of work, I'm an avid reader. (John Grisham and Francine Rivers? Yes, please!) I also love binge watching YouTube videos and learning about random facts. (Like how humans don't have a receptor in their skin for wetness.🤯)
Oh, and I am a dog lover. I don't own one, but I'd love to. My favourite breeds are Pomeranian and Maltese. So, if you have a dog, please feel free to bring them to our meeting. (Pretty please? With sugar and sprinkles on top?🥺)
